TCM believes that heart
palpitation is caused by
one or more of the
physiological
mechanisms:

Deficiency in qi,
blood, yin or yang leads
to insufficient
nourishment to the
heart; or/and |
2. |
Stagnation of
internally
developed rheum,
phlegm, heat or
blood coagulates
the heart’s
blood vessels. |

Some ways to avoid
triggers include:

Reduce stress or
anxiety though
practising
relaxation
techniques, e.g.
yoga, deep
breathing or
aromatherapy. |

Avoid stimulants
which trigger
palpitations.

consuming food
with high salt
or saturated fat
content, spicy,
raw or cold
food. |
